Atrial Fibrillation Analysis Based on Blind Source Separation in 12-lead ECG

چکیده
Atrial Fibrillation is the most common sustained arrhythmia encountered by clinicians. Because of the invisible waveform of atrial fibrillation in atrial activation for human, it is necessary to develop an automatic diagnosis system. 12-Lead ECG now is available in hospital and is appropriate for using Independent Component Analysis to estimate the AA period. In this research, we also adopt a second-order blind identification approach to transform the sources extracted by ICA to more precise signal and then we use frequency domain algorithm to do the classification. In experiment, we gather a significant result of clinical data. Keywords—12-Lead ECG, Atrial Fibrillation, Blind Source Separation, Kurtosis

متن کاملComparison of Atrial Rhythm Extraction Techniques for the Estimation of the Main Atrial Frequency from the 12-lead Electrocardiogram in Atrial Fibrillation
One of the greatest challenges in analysis of the atrial rhythm from the ECG is to distinguish the atrial component from the large ventricular components. Our aim was to compare three techniques of atrial rhythm extraction from three groups working on this problem. 12-lead ECG data from 7 patients in atrial fibrillation were analysed. For extraction of the atrial rhythm, spatiotemporal QRST can...
متن کاملBioelectric Model of Atrial Fibrillation: Applicability of Blind Source Separation Techniques for Atrial Activity Estimation in Atrial Fibrillation Episodes
In this contribution, we present the theoretical justification that give support to the suitability of Blind Signal Separation (BSS) techniques for the estimation of the atrial activity (AA) present in ECGs of persistent atrial fibrillation (AF). The application of BSS methods to this problem needs the fulfillment of several conditions regarding AA, ventricular activity (VA) and the fashion in ...
متن کاملPerformance Study of Convolutive BSS Algorithms Applied to the Electrocardiogram of Atrial Fibrillation
Atrial Fibrillation (AF) is one of the atrial cardiac arrythmias with highest prevalence in the elderly. In order to use the electrocardiogram (ECG) as a noninvasive tool for AF analysis, we need to separate the atrial activity (AA) from other cardioelectric signals. In this matter, Blind Source Separation (BSS) techniques are able to perform a multi-lead analysis of the ECG with the aim to obt...
متن کاملSpatiotemporal Separation Algorithm for Atrial Fibrillation Signal Estimation
A new algorithm for the estimation of the atrial activity (AA) signal from the surface electrocardiogram during atrial fibrillation (AF) episodes is proposed. This algorithm has been based on blind source separation methods, and has been designed including statistical and temporal source information. With this new methodology, the estimation of the AA source is enhanced, comparing to the estima...
